I truly enjoyed reading your article, "Oprah and Danny Sizzle In Her First Love Scenes In The Powerful Film Beloved" (Nov. 1998). The article was well written and really demonstrated to me that all actors are not only in this business for the money. I am 16 years old and believe actors Danny Glover and Oprah Winfrey deserve Academy Awards for their portrayal of the characters in Beloved. You could feel the sincerity of pain, grief and struggle caused during that time period, which made Beloved more than a book or movie. Both actors went as far as doing a love scene to make the movie perfect (even though Stedman disliked it). What especially impressed me was Oprah's determination to see the book on screen. She continued her research for 10 years to find the right producer, actors, etc. This determination has encouraged me to be patient in my choice to become an attorney. I thank you for writing this article. It has shown me how history can really affect people. Oprah and Danny are powerful and professional role models. God has blessed them with a beautiful talent.

Thank you for your time, and thank you again for your interest in Nana.
