COS Launches Solution to Manage Scientific Meeting Abstracts

Community of Science, Inc. (COS) has announced the release of Abstract Management System version 2.0 for scientific meetings. This customizable online publishing solution enables professional and scientific societies to manage the meeting program development process on the Web.

Launched in April 1998 with the Entomological Society of America (ESA), the COS Abstract Management System uses advanced Web technologies for online authoring and peer review in a secure environment. ESA recently signed a renewal contract for version 2.0 of the COS Abstract Management System.

"COS is now able to provide societies with a complete solution for collaborative authoring and formal peer review. These advanced tools lay the groundwork for the next generation of online publishing," said Huntington Williams, chief executive officer at Community of Science.

The COS Abstract Management System provides timesaving tools for scientists, scholars, and meeting managers. Researchers can collaborate with co-authors, draft abstracts over multiple sessions, and revise material right up until the submission deadline. …
