Take one rock concert, three zany stars, and a bundle of fastpaced, kid-friendly activities and you have ZAP!--a hip new science CD. Upbeat music, outstanding graphics, and corny puns combine to engage students as they work through hundreds of challenging experiments in sound, electricity, and light.

Even the premise is fun. Students strive to be guest conductors at the ZAP! Concert. But alas, the Wonder Dome has some major problems with stage, lighting, and sound systems. To solve them, children visit three learning environments--the Laser Lab, Sound Wave Studio, and Electro Loft. After successfully completing a series of experiments, they're awarded a missing component for either the light, sound, or electrical controls, and can go "backstage" to see what function it performs. …
