Dr. Jeffrey B. Zeiger, a professor of recreation, parks and tourism and a frequent contributor to and guest editor of Parks & Recreation magazine, has accepted the position of chair of the Resource Recreation and Tourism program at the University of Northern British Columbia effective June 1. Zeiger has spent the past 10 years at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, S.D.
Carol Robertson, CLP has assumed the responsibilities of superintendent of recreation for the city of Reading, Pa. Robertson came to this position after serving in North Carolina, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Matthew Lubas has been appointed the city's athletic/aquatic supervisor.
Oscar Dahl, commissioner of the Northbrook Park District, was elected president of the Illinois Association of Park Districts at the organization's annual conference in Chicago. Judith Locke, commissioner of the Decatur Park District, was elected president-elect.
