Redherring.com to Use Change Detection Solution

Article excerpt

NetMind Technologies, Inc., a supplier of change detection solutions for the consumer and enterprise markets, has made its first entry into the electronic publishing market by signing a deal with Redherring.com. Under the terms of this agreement, Redherring.com will incorporate NetMind's Minder for Partners technology into its Web site, making it easy for visitors to personalize the information they want to track on Redherring.com, then receive proactive notifications when this information changes.

"People depend on Redherring.com for real-time original reporting about technology business news and information," said Matt Freivald, president and CEO of NetMind Technologies, Inc. "By using our Minder for Partners technology, visitors will get more value from the Redherring.com site because they can easily track and receive notifications of changes to the specific information they are interested in. Concurrently, Redherring.com can monitor what information is being tracked and, in return, target their visitors more accurately. Minder for Partners is the only software that gives companies all these options from a server-side solution."

"We recently made several significant changes to Redherring.com, and NetMind's Minder is a natural extension to help us achieve our overall goal of increasing user loyalty," said Jim Stafford, president of Redherring.com. "If you're on e-mail today, you're probably inundated with general information about everything under the sun. With Minder, Redherring.com can now notify you by e-mail when updates are posted on just the technology business information you want to know about--anything from news on your company or the company you've invested in to a Red Herring event. Minder allows you to use Redherring.com as a personal research tool."

According to a recent report by International Data Corporation, personalization and customization will be important technology trends in 1999. …
