My name is John Michael Dellavalle. I am a junior at Emerson Junior/Senior High School, in Emerson, New Jersey. I have been given a position at EXCEPTIONAL Parent magazine, archiving articles for them. I work there every Monday and Wednesday afternoon. All of the people there are extremely nice to me.

What does archiving entail, you might ask? In this case, it is about finding articles on a subject, and simply typing in all of the information about each article into the computer and then organizing those by author or subject. There are three steps in archiving:

First, the article in the magazine must be found.

Second, the month and year in which it was published must be typed in.

Third, in archiving, you type in the title of the article and the author's name. Archiving is important because if a person wants an article for reference, all he or she has to do is look it up in a particular database of the topic they need and find the title and the issue in which it appeared. …
