While Julee Herbstritt, 10 is up at bat, her favorite dogs, Bubba and Abe, play the field. Julee has tuberous sclerosis (characterized by seizures, developmental delays, and skin and ocular lesions). She also has a seizure disorder and wears a helmet in case of injury, Julee enjoys many activities such as swimming at her grandparents' house, bowling, puzzles, and watching videos. She lives with her parents, Jane and Hubert, in DuBois, PA.

On a hot summer day, Christopher Hansbaurer, 4, enjoys touring the neighborhood in his stroller. Christopher is undiagnosed, but has developmental delays and motor encephalopathy. He is non-verbal and non-ambulatory. Christopher's older brother, Nikolas, says of him, "My brother may not walk or talk, but he sure is a good listener!" The brothers live with their parents, Lisa and Michael, in Baltimore, MD.

Christopher Davide (in stroller), 6, and his brother Matthew Davide (left), 8, are best friends. Christopher, who has cerebral palsy, loves to go swimming and horseback riding. He attends occupational and physical therapy sessions and a special kindergarten. The boys live with their parents, Barb and Ed, in Essex, VT.
