First Call Launches Enhanced Version of FIRST CALL Insight

First Call Corp., a division of Thomson Financial Services, has announced that it has launched an enhanced version of FIRST CALL Insight, a Web-based product providing comprehensive readership feedback and competitive intelligence to equity and fixed-income brokers worldwide. The enhanced version, which continues to be offered at no charge, includes additional functionality and allows for greater customization by the user. Insight was first launched in November 1997.

The new features included in this version of Insight are described below:

* Easy access to FIRST CALL Notes broadcast reports in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets (These reports include current and historical information on the total monthly volume of intra-day research notes distributed by each contributing U.S. sell-side firm.)

* Access to the full-text research documents behind the headlines that appear on Insight (These documents contain the original formatting of the reports and are in Adobe PDF format.)

* Ability for each user to create his/her own customized client portfolio to only track information on those buy-side firms listed in the portfolio

* A reduced embargo period of 14 days for the receipt of detailed reports that include information on which buy-side firms accessed a broker's research reports

FIRST CALL Insight recognizes each broker's login and customizes the Web pages and information for that broker. …
