Educators can teach math just as effectively by showing basketball footage as by having students solve for X. Many math programs feature a combination of digital, print and hands-on activities that let students work with square counting blocks in the classroom and play games online. These systems provide educators with PD opportunities, such as on-site and video coaching, and also generate assessment data on how to personalize instruction.



Students in grades 2 through 6 play games on this adaptive system to master math operations, from addition to division.Teachers can use Reflex to teach students with disabilities such as dyslexia and dyscalculia.This system also provides targeted interventions for students who have fallen behind in math.


Singapore Math

In this digital curriculum, five "characters" help students solve math problems by offering suggestions and clues. Lessons begin with students using everyday objects to think concretely about concepts. Next, the program presents these concepts as illustrations before introducing word problems.



On this computer-based platform, students from preschool through eighth grade first complete a 30-minute math assessment, and then Istation Math assigns them number games based on the results. Students learn concepts such as geometry, algebra and data analysis. …
