Dow Jones Reuters Business Interactive LLC (DJRBI) and MediaMap have announced a strategic relationship through which Dow Jones Interactive's archive of millions of articles written by reporters from around the world can be seamlessly accessed from MediaMap's Web-based media contact solutions.

Through a focused investment in technology and this newly formed relationship, MediaMap says it is expanding its presence in the PR marketplace. This relationship also represents a new effort by Dow Jones Reuters Business Interactive to better serve businesspeople in their specific job functions by embedding access to its product offering from the application these professionals use every day, according to the announcement.

With a click from MediaMap's journalist and analyst profiles, public relations professionals can search the Publications Library, with more than 6,000 sources covering key industries and general business news and issues. Integrated access to Dow Jones Interactive and MediaMap's solutions results in a new productivity tool that provides public relations professionals with a high level of media intelligence so they can quickly obtain a comprehensive picture of the media they are targeting, according to the companies.

"After obtaining the fundamental information about a reporter, an editor, or analyst from MediaMap, PR professionals can quickly access relevant articles from the Publications Library to see what a reporter has recently written about or where an analyst has been quoted," said Carol New-man, director of enterprise distribution strategy for Dow Jones Reuters Business Interactive. …
