Q We are an electrical products company looking for a medium-sized agency in the Bristol area to provide an integrated campaign aimed at establishing our brand. Ideally it would have experience in the DIY and home improvements sector.

A BCLO is probably the closest fit, a Bristol-based agency with a staff of 36 that has several DIY clients, including Stanley, Kuprinol and Screwfix Direct.

The agency was set up six years ago and offers a combined service that includes advertising, editorial and PR, as well as direct marketing and promotional activities.

One of BCLO's managing directors, Ian Noble, says an agency can help suppliers maintain brand dominance in retail outlets and keep them in touch with the latest trends and development.

A Cambertown Ltd in Rotherham, South Yorks, can handle orders from ten to 500,000 items. It specialises in fancy presentation, such as silk bows on invitations.

Similar orders it has carried out in the past include dried flower arrangements and gift wrapped bottles of wine, which can present challenges for packing and delivery. It can source the goods, although it says customers sometimes prefer to do that themselves to be sure of quality.

Perishable items may not be the best choice, especially if they are addressed to offices and may reach some recipients on January 4. But it says it can come up with interesting alternatives. (01709 898989)
