There's no such thing as a free lunch? Try flexible working. For employers and employees alike, it's a win-win option that boosts productivity while reducing costs. Why? Sky-high rents for office space, commuters arriving for work frazzled after battling through clogged roads, the need to respond to customers and colleagues out of office hours: all these spell the demise of the traditional working day in the traditional working office.

It's a better deal for all of us: less congestion, fewer cars on the road - and increasingly, more people to answer our calls or e-mails. …
