A group of teenage boys in Caldwell, Idaho, is being praised for selflessly stopping to assist an elderly man who fell to the ground.

A passerby named Erika Tovar witnessed the scene as she was driving on March 26. She noticed an elderly man, later identified as Jose Gomez, fall to the ground, so she made a U-turn to check on him. Before she had the chance, she noticed five boys come to the man's aid.

"I saw that he fell so I stepped on my brakes," said Isaac Hernandez, one of the teen boys.

The boys reportedly helped the man to his feet, and they insisted on escorting him back to his nearby home, where they proceeded to clean the man's wounds.

"We parked and we all ran out. We picked him up and we asked if he was okay, he said he was fine," he continued. "So we just kept walking with him. …
