* Sydney -- A subsidiary of Australia's Leighton Holdings has been awarded a US$171.42 million contract for the construction of 7200 apartments and the project management for a further 28,000 apartments for Encorp Construction in Malaysia. Leighton Contractors (Malaysia) will handle the deals.

* Seoul -- Domestic property developer Central City will open a large auto mall in southern Seoul in May. * Hong Kong -- Shipments of personal computers in Asia reached a record last year, with a total of 14.1 million PCs shipped in the region, excluding Japan.
