Tired of playing bars for $75 a night? Sick of doing original gigs for even less? Then consider exploring the more lucrative field of corporate casuals. Many players regard these gigs as sell-outs, but, in fact, not just any musician can sign on. You can't land corporate gigs without being affiliated with a talent agency, and you can't get hooked up with a talent agent unless your band has a stylistic angle (disco, Top 40, swing, etc.), a slick promotional package (that includes a photo, a bio, and audio and video demos), and a few tuxedos in the wardrobe (most of these gigs are on the stodgy side).
