Dale M. Cohen to operations director for the Chicago Tribune from senior counsel for publishing at the Tribune Co. Cohen succeeds Joe Leonard, who will retire June 30 after 44 years with the paper. Cohen's appointment is effective immediately.

Crane H. Kenney to senior vice president and general counsel for the Tribune Co. from vice president and general counsel.

Luis E. Lewin to senior vice president for human resources from vice president for human resources.

David D. Hiller to president of Tribune Interactive from senior vice president for development. Hiller succeeds Jeff R. Scherb, who will continue serving as senior vice president and chief technology officer at Tribune Co.

Hilary A. Schneider to the newly created position of senior vice president and general manager of Tribune Interactive from president and CEO of Times Mirror Interactive. Schneider will also serve on Tribune's corporate management and strategy and development committees.

Andrew J. Oleszczuk to vice president for development from president of Tribune Ventures.

Rick Taden to display advertising manager at The State Journal-Register in Springfield from sales manager for the Elgin division of parent Copley Newspapers.


Renee Loth

Renee Loth has been named editor of the editorial page at The Boston Globe, effective May 15. Loth, deputy editor of the page for the previous six years, will succeed H.D.S. Greenway, who is retiring after 22 years at the Globe, six as editor of the editorial page. During her 15 years as the paper, Loth has served as a staff writer for the Sunday magazine, a Statehouse reporter, and a political editor. Last fall, she was one of 13 people selected as a Fellow at the Radcliffe Public Policy Institute, and received a Global Media Award from the Population Institute in Washington.


Nolan Finley to editorial page editor of The Detroit News from deputy managing editor. Finley succeeds Tom Bray, who will become a full-time opinion page columnist. …
