After graduating I was determined to find a career which held a wide range of disciplines and challenges. The Brann New Managers Programme offered a fast track scheme, which with my full commitment would develop my management potential.

In order to achieve this it was important for Brann to structure a programme that would involve both external and internal training modules.

An important aspect of the internal training was to experience all facets of the business by physically undertaking established roles. Working in the key departments enabled trainees to gain a complete synopsis of the operation of the company and hands-on experience in the marketplace.

To help us to build on theory, and the management challenges experienced, senior managers within Brann were assigned as mentors to individual trainees. We were therefore able to exploit the vast pool of knowledge and experience of management, an asset often undervalued by many companies.
