Domino's Extends Deliveries to DVDs

Pizza delivery company Domino's is to extend its e-tail delivery operations after renewing its partnership with online games company Game-play. It also confirmed that it is in final-round talks to provide delivery services for a major DVD supplier.

The new round of deals will see Domino's deliver at least two new-release games for Gameplay this summer, starting on June 19, when it will offer free delivery of Nintendo Gameboy's Pok[acute{e}]mon Yellow.

The game will be offered as part of a package deal that will include a pizza, and is part of Domino's strategy of teaming its food with desirable products to boost sales.

The company said it was in last-round talks with a big DVD e-tailer, but declined to name the company.

Last month, Domino's said that it was looking at leasing its fleet of 2000 drivers to facilitate e-tail deliveries.

It signed a trial partnership with Gameplay, which saw it bike copies of the Sony PlayStation game Euro 2000 to online purchasers. …
