Dear Readers,

He will "repair what has been damaged [and] restore decency and integrity to the Oval Office" That's what Dick Cheney said about George W. Bush, who became the GOP presidential candidate with such grace, style and dignity that even the Philadelphia Inquirer's lead editorial proclaimed "W" stood for "well done" on an acceptance speech that laid out a vision for America.

Insight was there, of course, working on "The Project." In fact, as "The Project" became a story unto itself, we realized through 18-hour days (and sometimes more) that we were doing something no one else has done. And, simply put, we took you, our loyal readers, and countless tens of thousands of others, behind the curtains of Oz.

Through the wizardry of our partners at Apple Corp., QuickTime and Xybernaut, insightmag.com (our online version of the magazine) was able to use the Internet to capture an honest audio/video portrait of how the political sausage is made that most folks only see cooked by the networks and presented all fancy and appetizing. …
