theLibraryPlace.com and CARL Corp. have announced that they've reached an agreement for the development and distribution of theLibraryPlace.com's Bibliostat product to CARL clients. As part of the agreement, theLibraryPlace.com will provide CARL libraries with access to user and circulation information and detailed holdings, aiding collection-development efforts.

"Our focus on providing advanced data solutions for the library marketplace is a perfect complement to CARL," said Paul Sybrowsky, president of theLibraryPlace.com. "We expect the CARL customer base to benefit from the additional capabilities our partnership will provide as we move forward with data-warehousing and collection-development tools."

Bibliostat captures and preserves key automation system transactions in a state-of-the-art data warehouse that's easily accessible. According to the announcement, Bibliostat's powerful interface is used to generate hundreds of reports in seconds, thus ensuring that users have critical information when they need it. Additionally, Bibliostat will be able to deliver bibliographic data on current holdings as well as bibliographic data and ordering for titles not owned by the library. …
