Sky Starts Search for Agency Roster

Sky has decided to move away from using a single creative agency, St Luke's, to appoint a roster of agencies to work on a project-by-project basis, according to speciality.

Pitches will be held over the next few months and a roster is expected to be in place from the start of next year. St Luke's will be included in the roster.

According to marketing director Scott Menneer, the roster will enable Sky to tap into a wide range of resources, help it keep pace with a fast-changing marketplace and let it use a broad range of promotional platforms and services.

Last week Sky launched an enhanced mobile telephony service, offering sports fans a free Siemens WAP phone and access to Sky Sports mobile news.

Sky spends about [pound]60m a year on advertising. A source at Sky said the budget for next year would be at least equal to that. Media, by Universal McCann, is unaffected.

The overhaul comes as BSkyB launches a new logo that omits the familiar swoosh of the satellite dish. …
