Learned Information Announces New Acquisition

Learned Information, Inc. of Medford, New Jersey, announced its acquisition of the Microcomputer Index database (Dialog File 233) from Database Services of Mountainview, California. The database, now in its ninth year, provides abstracts of a wide range of literature in the dynamic and expanding field of personal computing.

The Microcomputer Index database now contains over 75,000 records and covers the 70 most important journals, magazines, and trade publications in the microcomputer field. In its printed form Microcomputer Index is a quarterly publication, whereas the database on Dialog is updated monthly.

The database has just recently been enhanced with the addition of Softwhere? Bargains Report, a listing of the 50 top-selling microcomputer software packages and the retail outlets which offer the lowest prices for these packages, and Computer Book Review, a monthly listing and description of new books on personal computing and closely related subjects.
