ONdigital is to enter the weekly TV listings market by relaunching its monthly subscriber title ONdigital as a weekly magazine. It is thought to be the first time a contract magazine has been published on a weekly basis.

The new-look title is due to launch in spring next year and will include listings for free-to-air terrestrial channels for the first time. The monthly format of the magazine makes it impossible to include listings for terrestrial channels because the TV companies only release listings for one week at a time.

ONdigital will be a 64-page A4 format and will carry around ten pages of advertising. It will be mailed to ONdigital subscribers and is expected to have an circulation in excess of one million.

ONdigital decided to revamp its monthly title after research from customers showed that they wanted the ONdigital magazine to provide a 'one-stop shop' of TV listings including details about terrestrial channels. The broadcaster is also considering changing the name of the magazine. …
