New Suitcase Wire Feeder for Shipyard, Portable Use

Miller Electric Mfg. Co. has introduced the SuitCase 8VS, a voltage sensing wire feeder designed to meet the portability and performance needs of shipyard construction and heavy industrial welding applications.

The SuitCase 8VS has an empty weight of 23.5 lbs. and is 14.5 inches high x 6.5 inches wide x 15-5/8 inches long. It holds an eight-inch diameter (10 to 30 lb.) wire spool, operates with .023-.062 inch diameter wires and has a wire feed speed of 50-700 IPM. The unit works with any manufacturer's constant voltage power source for short circuit or spray transfer MIG and gas- and self-shielded flux cored wire welding. CPR and AED Training Manikin

The new Actar D-fib manikin has the same qualities as the Actar 911, but with added CPR and new AED training capabilities. The Actar D-fib's training features include jaw thrust, abdominal thrust, head tilt with closeable airway, and realistic chest compressions. It is compatible with all training electrodes. Electrodes don't interfere with chest compressions and can be easily removed.

Halogen Trouble Light

A new Craftsman Professional halogen worklight (9-83895) is available from Sears Industrial Sales. The worklight brightens work areas with evenly distributed light and has a powerful magnet and a handle hook which make it easier to attach to vehicle hoods for hands-free use. Even Airflow Respirators

The new Speedglas Fresh-air 9000 respirators feature an aerodynamically designed helmet airduct with multiple airduct openings for even distribution of airflow. The system can provide welder-adjustable airflow rates of up to 15 cfm (425 1pm). The Speedglas Fresh-air II P and G 9000 are both powered air-purifying respirators. The P system is for protection against particle fumes, and the G system is for protection against particle fumes and specific gases and vapors. The Speedglas Fresh-air II SA system is a supplied air respirator that connects to a Fresh-air Purification and Regulation Panel (SA PRP200-B); up to four welders can be connected, via air supply hoses of up to 100 feet in length each, to one panel.

All Speedglas Fresh-air II 9000 systems have been approved to the current NIOSH 42 CFR 84 standard.

All systems include: one of four Speedglas 9000 auto-darkening lenses; a welding helmet with an airduct assembly; a face seal; a headcover; an adjustable comfort belt; and a carrying bag.
