Ebrary Announces Content Agreements with Cambridge University Press, Palgrave

ebrary has announced that both Cambridge University Press and Palgrave, the academic division of Macmillan and part of the Holtzbrinck Group, will make their titles available on the ebrary.com Web site.

The agreement with Cambridge University Press will give ebrary.com patrons access to the publisher's scholarly works and journals.

"For centuries the press has extended the research and teaching activities of the university by printing and publishing a remarkable range of academic and educational books and journals and making them available worldwide," said Michael Holdsworth, Cambridge University Press' business-development director. "ebrary will expand our global reach via the Internet,"

"We are extremely proud that Cambridge University Press is joining us to make their prestigious titles available on ebrary.com," said Christopher Warnock, ebrary's CEO. "Cambridge is one of the largest academic and educational publishers in the world, publishing over 2,000 books a year and over 150 journals, which are sold to some 200 countries worldwide."


According to the announcement, the agreement with Palgrave will give ebrary.com patrons access to a wealth of international academic publications with a primary focus on humanities, social science, business, computing, and engineering, while providing Palgrave with additional revenue opportunities, online copyright protection, and increased exposure.
