The AT&T Foundation's AT&T Learning Network Grants Program is open to all accredited public and private elementary and secondary schools as well as accredited public and private two- and four-year institutions of higher education and educational nonprofit organizations seeking to use technology to enhance teaching and learning.

No deadlines.

Coca-Cola Foundation Grants support innovative K-12 public school programs and those outside the "four walls" of the classroom; teacher development programs; and smaller projects dealing with specific activities in the elementary and secondary classroom.

Deadlines are quarterly: March 1, June 1, September 1, and December 1.

The Dirksen Congressional Center sponsors the Robert H. Michel Civic Education Grants, designed to help teachers, curriculum developers, and others improve the quality of civics instruction, with priority on the role of Congress in our federal government.

The National Library of Poetry sponsors the monthly Open Amateur Poetry Contest, inviting all poets regardless of experience to submit one poem per month.

Deadline: the last day of every month.

The National Science Foundation's highly competitive Connections to the Internet grants are awarded for innovative approaches for Internet access.

Deadlines: July 31 and January 31.
