Partners can also determine what payment models are appropriate to their businesses. ebrarian supports a customizable business model that allows publishers and channel partners to specify how much content can be viewed or purchased, as well as the price of acquiring content.

ebrarian is powered by ebrary Info-Tools, which provides exploration and comprehension capabilities. Users can interact with content down to the word level to obtain definitions, translations, biographical information, maps, and more; navigate through the content; and access additional materials available on the Web via an intuitive interface. ebrarian also uses Adobe PDF technology to present content true to the original design of the printed document.

In addition, ebrarian's real-time activity reports on document viewing, usage, micro-transactions, and purchases provide data for channel partners to make informed buying and marketing decisions while protecting user privacy.
