Increase in Visitors Takes X10.com 10 Pole Position in Domain League

Entertainment and search sites are among the biggest winners in terms of percentage reach of the UK athome internet audience, and also by the amount of time visitors are spending there.

Both Ask Jeeves (ask.co.uk) and Google.com appear in the top five entertainment sites that increased their reach from April to May, adding 2.5% and 1.7% more visitors respectively.

Channel4.com and Terra.es have benefited from the launch of the second series of Big Brother. C4 shows an increase of 2% in the number of people visiting its site in May.

But the biggest winner in this period has been X10.com,increasing its audience reach by 4%, which equates to a jump of almost 600,000 visitors on April.

X10.com is a US-based electronics and technology e-tailer. It first appeared in the Jupiter MMXI monthly rankings in April. After an intensive campaign ofpop-up ads on other sites, the popularity of the service is evidently still on the increase.

HSBC.co.uk, while ranking eighth overall in the UK business and finance category and falling behind some of its high street rivals, experienced one of the biggest gains in terms of the amount of time people spend on the site. …
