Fleming Bennett, 90, librarian emeritus at the University of Florida/Gainesville, died May 3 after a brief illness. He had been the university's associate director of libraries.

Louise Woodruff Dean, former reference librarian at Davis Public Library in Bethesda, Maryland, died May 27 of Alzheimer's disease. She was 85.

Cecilia C. Durkin, 56, consumer health librarian at the National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland, died May 14 of lung cancer.

Margaret Beckett Faverty, former librarian at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, died May 15.

Christine Blucher Germino, bibliographer and reference librarian at Vanderbilt University's Central Library in Nashville, Tennessee, died April 10 after a brief illness.

Hilda Margaret Koehler, 96, former children's librarian at Long Beach and Freeport public libraries in Long Island, New York, and at Lawrence Public Library in Topeka, Kansas, died May 6.

Ilham Kum, retired chairman of Hacettepe University's department of librarianship in Ankara, Turkey, died earlier this year. He was 73.

Mary Robbins Locklin, 86, former librarian at Milton (Fla.) High and Jackson Elementary schools, died April 15. …
