Inmagic Releases Incase Guide for Law Firms

Inmagic Inc., has released the Incase Guide: Using INMAGIC in Law Firms. The new Incase Guide offers law firms a variety of ready-to-use database models that can be modified to suit particular needs. The Guide is designed to be used with Inmagic textbase software, a powerful package for micro and minicomputers that is used in law firms and corporate legal departments for textual applications such as in-house litigation support databases.

Incase Guide includes nine different kinds of text databases broken down into three categories: Litigation Support, Case and Practice Management, and Research and Resource Management. The database models cover a range of topics, from managing large numbers of case documents and indexing depositions and testimony, to storing information on attorney background and expert witnesses, indexing briefs and memos, tracking Continuing Legal Education hours and monitoring the firm's legal forms file. Also included is a model for a client and case tracking database that can be used for conflict of interest checking and also adapted for regular client communications. The Guide's final chapter, Working Notes, contains a discussion of database concepts useful for firms that are automating for the first time or training new people, plus an advanced hints section for users who have become more experienced. …
