CIMIA Business Management Event Offers Tips from the Top

Prestigious speakers including Sir John Shaw, governor of the Bank of Scotland, Nick Montagu, chairman of the Inland Revenue, Douglas Flint, group finance director of HSBC, Andrew Likierman, head of the Treasury, and David Maloney, group finance director of Thomson Travel Group, are among the line up for the inaugural CIMA Business Management Event, 27-28 September, Cumberland Hotel, London.

The two-day conference and exhibition will be chaired by Mike Jeans, president of CIMA. It is set to be the essential event for financial directors, CIMA members and business managers with a financial remit. With talks on everything from meeting City expectations and achieving share-holder value, to integrating business processes and managing change, the event aims to equip senior managers for the boardroom and to provide the perfect opportunity for networking.

The event is part of Global Business Management Week (24-28 September). It will explore themes based on "Harnessing creativity to increase the bottom line", the title of a major research project published during the week. …
