1 Slinder Dhariwal--registered student (928668X)

The Disciplinary Committee considered a complaint against Ms Dhariwal. She was found in possession of a booklet of notes in the Management Accounting Applications exam in November 1999, contrary to the exam regulation that"candidates must not take into the examination room any articles such as briefcases, notes or written material of any kind". The committee found the complaint of unprofessional conduct to be established and resolved that under the provisions of council regulation 10.2.1 (v) her registration as a student be cancelled.

2 Christopher Laurence Grant Pyves--associate (0354628)

The Disciplinary Committee considered a report from CIMA Manchester and District Branch that Mr Pyves failed to provide accounts for its 1999 dinner dance, to pay the bill for the venue and to bank the guests' cheques. As a result, the branch bank account became overdrawn, and the branch treasurer needed funds from CIMA's finance department. The treasurer had to contact suppliers to request duplicate invoices and Mr Pyves did not respond to correspondence from CIMA requesting this information. The committee found the complaint of unprofessional conduct to be established and resolved that under the provisions of bye-law 12(b)(vi) he be expelled from the institute and, under the provisions of bye-law 12(b)(iv), fined 1,000 [pounds sterling].

3 Robin Sim Jenkins--fellow (0393317)

The Disciplinary Committee considered a report that Mr Jenkins had been dismissed from his role as financial controller, Barclays Stockbrokers following an inquiry into suspected fraud in 1995. …
