IDAHO

Margaret Buchanan, president and publisher of The Idaho Statesman in Boise, has been named vice president for parent Gannett Co. Inc.'s Pacific Newspaper Group. She retains her titles at the Statesman. A 15- year company veteran, Buchanan will oversee the chain's papers in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. She held executive positions at The Cincinnati Enquirer and the Rockford (Ill.) Register Star, and served as president and publisher of the Elmira, N.Y., Star-Gazette, Gannett's first paper.

PENNSYLVANIA

Ardith Hilliard to editor of The Morning Call in Allentown from associate editor and assistant to the editor at the Los Angeles Times. Hilliard succeeds Elaine Kramer, now managing editor of the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel.

ARKANSAS

Scot Morrissey to publisher of the Log Cabin Democrat in Conway from general manager. Morrissey succeeds Michael T. Hengel, now publisher of The Holland (Mich.) Sentinel.

FLORIDA

Tom Tuell to editor of The Key West Citizen, its eight related weeklies, and KeysNews- .com., the paper's Web site, from editor of KeysNews.com. Tuell succeeds Sally Mahan, who resigned.

LOUISIANA

Lovell Beaulieu to managing editor of The Advertiser in Lafayette from senior editorial page writer at The Des Moines (Iowa) Register. …
