18-23: New Orleans (Ernest N. Morial Convention Center). The American Library Association will sponsor its ALA 2002 Midwinter Meeting and Exhibition. According to the announcement, the event is convened for the primary purpose of expediting the business of the ALA through sessions of its governing and administrative delegates serving on boards, committees, and Council.
