Why should you, an active NSA member, file a petition to be a delegate at large at the NSA Convention in Hawaii, representing the state in which you do business?

First, only delegates at large can vote on the matters presented before the National Council of Delegates, including all elections for District Governor, State Director, and officers of the National Society of Accountants.

Second, only delegates or alternates may nominate a member from the convention floor for any elective office. Members attending the Annual Convention who are not delegates may have the right of voice but do not have the right to vote. Only active members and life members of NSA are eligible to vote or hold office.

Delegate count is based on membership figures (active and life members only) as of April 1.

On occasion, more members file petitions to be delegates at large from a state than the number of delegates to which the state is entitled. …
