Windy City to Play Host to Occupational Health Professionals. (FYI)

Forget about April in Paris. Chicago is the place to be if you are one of the thousands of occupational health professionals in the United States and Canada.

The Windy City will play host to the American Occupational Health Conference (AOHC) from April 12-19 at the McCormick Place Convention Center. The theme of this year's conference is "Workforce of the 21st Century." AOHC is the annual joint meeting of the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN) and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM).

This year, more than 200 experts will present research and discuss the most critical issues affecting the workplace, including staying on top of ever-changing legislation to coping with today's dynamic business environment.

Full- and half-day professional seminars sponsored by ACOEM and AAOHN will be Friday, April 12, through Tuesday, April 15. April 13 and 14 will feature sessions jointly sponsored by both groups.

The general conference begins at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, with a joint plenary session featuring invited speaker John Henshaw, administrator of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). …
