Mission of Judicial Watch and Klayman Attracts Fans, Foes. (Correspondence)
Judicial Watch founder Larry Klayman is right on target ["The Watchdog of Washington" April 22]. As a longtime conservative, I don't think we can afford to have a double standard. If politicians do the crime, then they should do the time!
Recent events have revealed the almost absolute lack of honest politicians in Washington. Democrats are worse than Republicans because they lie with much more aplomb. And when the chips are down, we can't depend on the Republican Party either.
President George W. Bush better remember the old but true adage: It's the cover-up that will get you. His administration has "signed on" to the Clinton criminality by quashing every ongoing investigation.
The Department of Justice, the FBI, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and many other federal departments are corrupt to the core after eight years of Bill Clinton, during which their only function was to keep him in the White House and out of jail.
