LE to Support Regional Brands in Ad Campaign

LE Group is launching a multi-million-pound marketing campaign to support its SWEB and London Electricity (LE) brands, ending speculation that the two brands are about to be axed.

The French-owned energy company will roll out press, radio and poster advertising in the London area and South West England from this week flagging up the fact that 70% of customers who leave the group subsequently return.

The marketing campaign specifically targets British Gas customers, the majority of whom, according to LE Group marketing director Gary Tubb, 'join British Gas on a more expensive deal'.

The ads have been developed by First City for LE and by Interfocus for SWEB. However, advertising for both brands is currently being reviewed.

As part of the campaign, Tubb is spearheading the launch of a customer voucher booklet for LE and SWEB customers, which will be sent out with bills and offers pounds 1000 worth of savings throughout the home on services such as home electrical wiring. …
