Following the tragic events of Sept. 11, the nation has been swept up in patriotic fervor, evidenced by the American flag flying from myriad locations, decorating virtually every vehicle on the road, and making an appearance on just about every type of clothing imaginable. Manufacturers of the latter were quick to jump on the bandwagon. However, one company, Limited Edition Ltd., Novato, Calif., has been saluting the stars and stripes for years with a wide variety of wearables.

The zippered 100% cotton spring-weight jacket ($149) is like a flag walking. The left side of the front is decorated with alternating red and white stripes, as is the left sleeve. The top of the right side is a field of white stars on a navy blue background, with matching sleeve, while the bottom half of that side is vertical red and white stripes. The jacket's back reverses the pattern. Uncle Sam would undoubtedly be envious. A matching baseball cap ($25) is navy with white stars and has a red and white striped bill to complete the ensemble. …
