Charles D'Oyly is director of partnerships and marketing for Air Miles and BA Miles. He started his marketing career with Unilever and has also worked as client services director for OgilvyOne New York.

Here we have a first. I was so taken with this writing that I held it up to the assembled multitude in my office as an example of truly fascinating writing.

Having said that I must also say that I could not work with this writer (two perfect people in the same office don't mix).

He is a creative in the truest sense. His aesthetic senses, communication, presentation and visualisation are honed to perfection. He also scores very highly on the control section of my measurement chart. OK so he's a bit of a controller but why not as, after all, he knows best.

Unlike many creatives he is a very cool customer and especially difficult to faze - trying to annoy him would be like punching fog. His reactions are deliberate. …
