"The Art of Designing Reinsurance Contracts & Programs" is aimed at professionals who want a better understanding of fundamental reinsurance concepts. The effect of the market on contract terms and how specific clauses influence finance, claims and regulatory operations will be discussed. Breakout sessions will give attendees hands-on experience in matching contracts to reinsurance programs. RAA will teach how to structure reinsurance contracts to avoid coverage gaps, realize the impact of specific clauses, determine risk transfer and experience the results of micro and line decisions. UNDERSTANDING AND MANAGING RISK--THE SEMINAR

This seminar, sponsored by Victor O. Schinnerer & Company, is broken up into two half-day parts. Part I pertains to the planning and design phase of a project with special interest on risk management tools, sources of duty, roles of the design team and communication and document criteria. Part II deals with the construction phase. Contract types, interpretation of the construction contract, systems testing and resolution of changes and claims are all among the material covered. Participants can register for either 3-hour session or both. Each session provides 3.5 professional development hours.
