Ros King became managing director of J Walter Thompson in 2001 after four years as client services director. She has worked in multinational ad agencies for 20 years. Before joining JWT she was at McCann-Erickson.

To describe an entire personality in one sentence is, of course, impossible but in this case I'm going to give it a go. She is someone who really doesn't mess about.

Whatever the task ahead, this writer's input means business ... and how.

Her energies are channelled directly into goal-directed pursuits which means that she does her homework first and then, having set her sights, goes for it.

A first class delegater, she will pin-point what is required and then expect the delegatee to get on with it. Her attention to detail is intense (OK, so she can be picky ...), but the invariable object of her exercise is to achieve desired goals. And believe me, this one will.
