Deutsche Bank AG has hired two J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. executives, David Kimmel and Chris Young, as managing directors.

The two executives are based in New York.

Mr. Kimmel, who reports to Gregg Sando, a managing director and the head of the global financial institutions group, was named the head of insurance and asset management investment banking for the Americas.

He was the head of insurance investment banking for the Americas and a co-head of global insurance at Morgan Chase.

Mr. Young was named a senior member of Deutsche's U.S. insurance team. He had held a similar job as a senior member of the insurance investment banking team at Morgan Chase.

Both joined the financial institutions group at J.P. Morgan & Co. in 1995. (Chase Manhattan Corp. acquired J.P. Morgan in 2000.)

Mellon Financial Corp. in Pittsburgh has hired Timothy Tully Jr. as the chief technology officer of its private wealth management group.

Mr. Tully was the chief operating officer and the chief technology officer at Overture Technologies Inc. in Rockland, Md. Before that he had held the same jobs at NetAssets Inc. in Fresno. Earlier he had been a senior vice president of application development at T. Rowe Price Group Inc.

He has 15 years of technology and management experience.


Bear, Stearns & Co. in New York has hired Alan Swimmer as a senior managing director and a national sales manager for interest rate futures. …
