Deutsche Bank AG has hired Christian Starck as a director and the head of customized client solutions in global equity services in the company's corporate trust and agency services business.

He is based in New York and reports to Akbar Poonawala, Deutsche's head of global equity services.

Mr. Starck was the head of American depositary receipt services in North America at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. Before that he had held a similar job in the ADR group at Citibank.

Bank of America Corp. in Charlotte has hired Lorenzo Ascoli as the head of the Washington, D.C., market at its Bank of America Private Bank.

He reports to Tim Maloney, the private bank's northern region president.

Mr. Ascoli was a senior vice president and manager of the Chevy Chase, Md., branch at Morgan Stanley, where he had worked for 12 years.

Bank of America also named Janice Fetsch as the deputy general counsel and compliance executive for its asset management group, a newly created job, and Lucille Reymann as its director of litigation.

Both report to Paul Polking, the general counsel and the head of the company's legal department.

Ms. Fetsch, who is based in New York, also reports to Charles Bowman, the principal compliance executive. She had been the director of worldwide litigation for three years at Bank of America. Before that she had been the manager of the San Francisco litigation practice group for two years at Bank of America and at BankAmerica Corp., which NationsBank Corp. acquired in 1998.

Earlier she had been the trust department manager of BankAmerica's private bank in San Francisco for two years. …
