American University's School of Communication offer scholarships for outstanding students who want to earn a master's degree in journalism and public affairs. For more than 30 years the journalism program has prepared students for careers in the world's top news organizations. Students select a print or broadcast concentration that includes coursework that emphasizes the converged media environment. Students also concentrate in public policy, business and economics, or international journalism. The most competitive scholarship applications come from students with outstanding undergraduate records and GRE scores(TOEFL scores, 600/paper or 250/computer, required for international students).

Application deadline is February 1, 2003.
