NewsStand Enters Agreements with Three Newspapers. (Internet Today)

NewsStand, Inc., a digital publishing and distribution service, has announced that it will deliver to readers a digital version of Tarun Bharat, a daily Indian newspaper. The company also announced that it will offer readers of The Morning Bulletin (Queensland, Australia) and The Blade, a newspaper that serves northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan, new digital subscription options.

Web users can have exact digital versions of Tarun Bharat's print editions delivered directly to their PCs several hours before the publisher posts daily news to its web site. Once a subscriber downloads a digital edition of Tarun Bharat, he or she will be able to read the copy offline. In addition, NewsStand helped Tarun Bharat solve the font problems encountered by many Web browsers that could not display the specific character set used in the Marathi language.

The Morning Bulletin

The Morning Bulletin's readers will be able to download exact copies of the printed newspaper directly to a PC. For many residents in Queensland and across Australia, this is the first time the entire newspaper--complete with articles, photos, and advertisements--will be available on the same morning it is printed. …
