* We don't know anyone who actually enjoys airports. No matter how much you anticipate a trip when departing or can't wait to get home when it's over, the airport experience is invariably a downer. While you can't do anything about the incessant standing in line to check in and, in these edgy times of terrorist threats, for security checks, or having to wait impatiently for your bags to come off the carousel, there's one hassle that can be ameliorated--the backbreaking chore of toting luggage which seems to grow exponentially heavier with every step you take.

The logical solution is a luggage cart, but there are scores of models out there, many of which are too heavy or flimsy, unbalanced, have wheels that quickly go out of alignment, or create any number of other equally annoying problems. Compactly portable when not in use, its handle retractable and a cinching strap holding everything together, the cart is ready to take on a load in seconds. Unstrap and extend, and you'll come to appreciate what is provided. The bottom platform has feet so that the cart stays upright, even when empty, is self-locking, and is wide enough for any suitcase; the handle adjusts from 30 to 40 inches, making it comfortable to wheel no matter what your height (okay, Mini-Me and Shaquille O Neal may fall outside the parameters); the top grip is rubber coated to cut strain on your hand; the six-inch wheels are rugged enough to resist impact jolts while maintaining smooth rollability; the elastic strap is long enough to hold everything in place; and the thick steel construction guarantees long wear. …
