Harry Schultz has been in the investment arena for more than 40 years. He has been editor of the International Harry Schultz Newsletter since 1963 or so, has written more than eight books on financial matters and has consulted on investments.

His latest book goes well beyond his 1964 book on bear markers by covering today's environment. The book is divided into 20 chapters and seven major categories including:

Schultz's goal is to aid investors in making investment decisions in bear markets, bull market corrections and recessions. He reviews the history of bear markets since 1900 and notes that in the last 90 years bear markets have consumed 35% of the time. This certainly shows that the buy-and-hold strategy is not a smart one.
