One of NRPA's national partners, the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA, tipped off the 2002-2003 youth basketball season in November. Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA is the leading organizing body in the recreational youth basketball community. More than half a million boys and girls, ages 5-14, from across the United States, Canada and abroad, will participate in 1,000 Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA member leagues this season. In all, more than 1 million players, coaches, parents and officials will receive benefits through Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA member leagues.

"I am so honored to help the NBA provide structure for the millions of boys, girls, coaches, officials and parents who participate in recreational basketball programs," notes NBA Hall of Famer Bill Walton, a member of the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Advisory Board. "As the father of four basketball-playing sons, I know how important the support provided by the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA is to the success of youth leagues around the country and abroad."

The Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA provides recreational youth basketball leagues with access to a variety of valuable membership programs, all at no cost to the member league.
