Jeremy Bowles is managing director of Lowe and has been at the agency for nine years. He started his career at Saatchi & Saatchi, and has also worked at CDP and Y&R.

- This sample definitely has a 'shorthand' feel to it. It is simplified to within an inch of its life, so much so that the whole piece fits into the upper half of the paper. He is not a chap who wastes words, methinks.

The writing has a right slant most of the time, but there are some interesting little deviations here; look at the letter 'y' in the word 'always' and you will see it pulls in the 'wrong' direction. There are other examples too. So this is a writer who directs energies that might be used elsewhere into work. In other words, he leans toward being something of a workaholic.

Once focused, this guy stays focused until the project is completed.

Describing words include single-minded, decisive, impatient, self-starting and bright.

Many folk have problems with delegation, but I don't think this chap will, due to his ability and willingness to assess what is required and then apportion responsibility to those best able to fulfil requirements. …
